As the eldest of four, I was the first in my family to graduate from college on time. I earned regents scholarship funds and had four part-time jobs through cooperative job opportunities to afford to live off-campus and not be a financial burden on my parents. RIT was an obvious choice based on affordability, curriculum, and course choices. Plus, the quality of the professors became obvious quickly after entering the world of work.
Although my core courses were in Saunders College of Business, I was able to take classes in the College of Liberal Arts as well. The combination of courses within different schools prepared me to excel in a wide variety of fields, such as Art & Design (Fine Arts Insurance Policies), Conference Techniques (Interacting with Insurance company underwriters), Data Processing (the basis for being able to learn operating & application software).
The ability to continue to learn new and exciting subjects in an ever-changing world.
Saunders has provided me with the ability to focus my efforts on a specific task and provide a quality experience for my client before and after the sale.
