Completion of a bachelor's degree and your undergraduate GPA is required for admission into Saunders Graduate degree program. All official transcripts (in English), of all previously completed undergraduate and graduate course work must be submitted. Applicants must hold a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution, or be completing one, by the time they expect to enroll in their program. Transcripts must be sent by all schools a student has attended and received college credit by mail or electronically by emailing to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Tip: Unofficial copies may be uploaded during the application process for the initial admissions review. If accepted, students must submit official copies for the full admissions packet. Copies of courses taken in high school for college credit must also be submitted.
Resume/Curriculum Vitae (CV) and Work Experience
Work experience is not required for our graduate programs, except the Executive MBA program. Please submit a current resume or CV in order for us to review any past work experience during the admissions process.
Please submit a typed, double-spaced, 2 page statement about why the Saunders graduate program is a good fit for your future career. Include information on what draws you to the Saunders program and how you will leverage your past academic and professional work experience to be an active, engaged and successful student in our college.
GMAT or GRE Requirements
Many graduate programs at Saunders require applicants to submit a Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) or Graduate Record Examination (GRE) exam score to complete your application. Although GMAT remains the preferred admission test for Saunders College Graduate Programs, Saunders also accepts GRE test as an alternative. Applicants with an earned PhD, EdD, MD, or Law Degree are exempt from taking the GMAT or GRE tests. There are also GMAT/GRE Waiver options that you may qualify for.
Writing Sample Requirement
MS in Management and MS in Entrepreneurship and Innovative Ventures Only
Applicants must select 1 of the 3 essay topics below. The essay should be typed, double-spaced, and 2 pages in length.
- Describe an ethical dilemma you faced and how you resolved it
- Explain what you have learned from a managerial, leadership, or team experience that was not completely successfully.
- Describe your greatest professional achievement and how you added value to your organization.
Minimum GPAs and Test Scores
Saunders intentionally does not specify minimum GPAs or test scores as all of your application materials are considered when making admissions decisions. Please refer to our Graduate Student Profile for an overview of our graduate students.
Saunders does not require recommendation letters. Please feel free to submit recommendation letters if you have them.
Undergraduate Degree and GPA
Completion of a bachelor's degree and your undergraduate GPA is required for admission into Saunders Graduate degree program. It is not required that your undergraduate degree is in business or management. Most of our graduate degree programs are designed for individuals with a wide variety of backgrounds. Many of our graduate students have undergraduate degrees in liberal arts, design, science, and engineering.
Work experience is not required. Many of our students are accepted directly from undergraduate programs. However, any work experience you have is included as part of your application review, which encompasses all application materials you submit.
