This Fall, Saunders College of Business is proud to welcome to several new distinguished educators to our faculty.


Dr. Sorim Chung: Marketing

She has amassed over 15 years of experience in consumer brand/product marketing and digital marketing, working with international brands like Nike, BMG Music and Samsung (Cheil Worldwide).Having both distinguished standing within academia and accomplishment within the private sector, Dr. Chung brings a comprehensive and unique collection of knowledge to RIT.

Her research concerns the impact of technology on consumer behavior, particularly in the context of sensory marketing, user environments, advertising, and brand management. She is currently conducting several research projects investigating the impact of touch interfaces and other device types on online shoppers.

She holds a Ph.D. in Management with a concentration in Marketing from the University of California-Riverside and received her M.A. and B.J. in Advertising from the University of Missouri-Columbia.

Saiwu Lin: Management Information Systems
Mr. Saiwu Lin is a visiting lecturer of MIS at the Saunders College of Business. He holds a Master’s of Management Information Systems from the Eller College of Management at the University of Arizona and a Bachelor degree in Material Science from Zhejiang University. He had more than 25 years of technical and managerial working experience both in US and China. His teaching interests include database, data analytics, and SAP. He is the recipient of the Exemplary Performance in Adjunct Teaching Award from the Saunders College of Business in 2015.


Rick Mislan: Management Information Systems

Dr. Mislan is an alumnus of RIT and is back to help create a Cyber Security emphasis within the MIS program. Upon his return to RIT in 2012 in the Computing Security Department, he developed the Mobile Security and Forensics undergraduate curriculum.

Prior to his work at RIT, Dr. Mislan taught at Purdue University's College of Technology from 2005 to 2012, as well as Ferris State University (2000-2005). Additionally, he has served as a Technology Director and Educator for various school districts, a Communications Electronic Warfare Officer for the U.S. Army, as well as a Radio Disc Jockey.

Dr. Mislan’s research entails Small Scale Digital Device Forensics, Mobile Security, and Information Assurance and Security; he has authored numerous articles in the former. He also currently serves as a reviewing editor for the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), as well as a Mobile Device Forensics and Security consultant for state and federal agencies.

Dr. Mislan holds a Ph.D. in Information Systems from the Nova Southeastern University, as well as a M.S. in Information Systems Management from Ferris State University.


Donald Streeks: Accounting

Mr. Streeks comes to RIT as a Visiting Lecturer with the intention of lending his insight gained from over 25 years of global experience in several different realms of corporate finance. Through his tenure as Asia-Pacific Regional Treasurer in Toyko, Operations Manager in The Philippines, and Controller for the U.S. and Canada for Kodak, he has been immersed in many of the broader - as well as usual - areas of financial management.

Subsequently, Mr. Streeks took up teaching. First as a lecturer at SUNY Brockport and eventually as a tenured faculty member at FLCC. After that and beginning to learn computer programming here at RIT, he developed an interest in e-Learning; he has since become extensively experienced with such technology.

Mr. Streeks received his M.S. in Accounting and B.S. in Economics from James Madison University.


Dr. Shawn Sturgeon: Management

Dr. Sturgeon was educated at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, (B.A. English, 1988) the University of North Texas (M.A. English, 1992) and the University of Cincinnati where he received a Ph.D. in English Literature in 1998, specializing in Modern and Contemporary American Poetry and Fiction.

He has been the recipient of several fellowships in creative writing and has taught at the University of Cincinnati, the Art Academy of Cincinnati, Emory University, Adelphi University and the American University in Kosovo. Dr. Sturgeon has also received various accolades and been recognized on many occasions and for a number of his published works. From 2010-2011, he served as Director of Academic Affairs for RIT at the American University in Kosovo. From 2011-2016, he served as Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at RIT-Croatia.
