The New Philip Saunders Recognition Display

On Wednesday October 11th Saunders College’s community came together to commemorate the namesake of our business school, Phil Saunders. Saunders himself attended the event that also recognized esteemed individuals like Philip Tyler and unveiled the college’s latest facilities.

The celebrations took place in Max Lowenthal Hall, home of Saunders College. Accordingly, the newest fixture of the building’s Zutes Atrium was unveiled: the ‘Philip Saunders Recognition Display’. Anyone who finds themselves passing through Lowenthal or spending time in ‘The Pit’ can now experience the educational exhibit.

Encompassing the entire side of the staircase in the middle of the atrium, the new wall details the various business successes of Phil Saunders. From both its physical infographics and digital interface, one can learn about (and from) Saunders’ ventures in the truck, tourism, packaged food, property and a number of other industries. By navigating the exhibit’s touch screen component, users can find a number of slideshows and videos recounting such entrepreneurial endeavors.

To learn more about the other state-of-the-art facilities at Saunders available to faculty and students alike, be sure to check out the dedicated page for these tech-oriented recourses on our website. Similarly, one read more about the Zutes atrium and other facets of Max Lowenthal Hall here.
