In her role as VP of Strategic Initiatives, Maggie sits on the Policy committee of the Rochester-Monroe Anti-Poverty Initiative, the Pathways to Prosperity workgroup of the Finger Lakes Economic Development Council, and is tasked with ensuring that public transportation is included at the front end of planning for projects prioritized and funded by the Upstate Revitalization Initiative.

Previously, Maggie served 12 years as Monroe County Executive overseeing a government operation with 4,500 employees and a $1-billion dollar budget, giving her broad reach and expertise in many areas of public policy and services including transportation. For 12 years, including 2 years as Chairman, Maggie Brooks served on the Genesee Transportation Council, the regional planning organization for transportation and infrastructure priorities and spending.
