Tentative Daily Schedule for Camp Tiger – Summer 2022:
8:30 am - 9:00 am Homeroom
Campers arrive to camp during this period and go to an assigned room in the Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences. Campers sign-in with their crew chief and participate in activities with the members of their crew (all the students in their workshop) while getting ready for the day.
9:00 am - 11:00 am Workshop
Together with their crew and crew chief, campers travel to their lab, classroom, or studio for workshop. Camp Tiger facilities are housed in several different colleges across the RIT campus. Workshops are instructed by RIT faculty and/or teams of well-qualified RIT undergraduate and graduate students.
11:00 am - 1:00pm Midday Recreation and Lunch
Campers will rotate between lunch (1 hr) and recreation (1 hr) along with their crew and crew chief.
Recreation activities are customized by each crew chief so as to meet the interests of the crew. Lunch, with gluten-free and vegetarian options, is served family style in an RIT dining hall.
1:00 pm - 3:00 pm Workshop
Refreshed, campers return to their workshop rooms for continued hands-on instruction. The crew chief is always on hand to provide extra support to the instructor(s) in the classroom.
3:00 pm – 3:15 pm Regular Dismissal
All crews return to Golisano for dismissal. Campers sign out with their crew chief. Campers who are 9th grade and up may be given permission from their parents to self-sign-out from camp. All other campers must have their parent sign them out from the program. Crew chiefs will make every effort to accompany their crew outside to enable “curb-side” student camper pick-up/sign-out.
