Saunders College of Business is now giving a $1,000 scholarship to an incoming freshman who participated in DECA, a not-for-profit student organization, in high school. To be eligible for consideration, students must be accepted into the Saunders College of Business at RIT.
Saunders College supports DECA’s focus on embracing leadership and entrepreneurial ideation while encouraging students to pursue careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management. Saunders College hosted the third annual NYS Region 10 DECA competition in December 2018 with over 600 high school students participating from the Rochester area.
Students presented their business plans to local business leaders that served as the competitions judges. This regional conference allows DECA Chapters the opportunity to compete for a $1,000 award to be used toward DECA nationals where they continue on to further their skills and gain valuable professional experience.
