Rochester Institute of Technology’s Saunders College of Business ranked 58th in the list of business schools in the nation by Poets&Quants, a leading resource for coverage of business education. Saunders College jumped 33 spots from last year’s ranking and was recognized for placing high in employment outcomes for graduates, fueled by a strong cooperative education program and employment rates.
“We are very pleased to learn that Saunders College has been recognized by this distinguished organization,” said Dean Jacqueline Mozrall. “Inclusion in Poets&Quants’ ranking is a testament to both the commitment of our faculty and the motivation of our students. This is confirmation that the college’s model of infusing business with technology, along with a curriculum that is flexible and relevant, is valuable for both our students and graduates.”
The 2021 rankings were derived from three criteria: quality of incoming students, an assessment by alumni, and career outcomes of its graduates.
Also noted in the ranking is the Freshman Biz 1+2 program. A comprehensive and entrepreneurial experience, Biz 1+2 provides an introduction to the fundamentals of business and serves as a valuable reference throughout the curriculum. During their first year, students take classes in a cohort and work in teams to develop a business plan from conceptualization to commercialization.
Regarding employment outcomes, more than 94 percent of the class of 2020 secured a full-time position within three months of graduation. Saunders placed No. 26 overall in the employment outcomes portion of the ranking.
