First-year business program culminates in commercialization pitches to experienced entrepreneurs
In the Freshman Experience: Biz 1+2 program, Saunders College first-year students have attended class, visited guest speakers and engaged in seminars designed to build a broad range of skills. As a final step of the two-semester cohort program, students work together to build business plans from the ground up.
Working throughout the spring semester, students work toward a business plan presentation as the end goal. Utilizing their business education and on-campus resources, students ideate, conceptualize and design a business commercialization plan to present to a panel of external judges. Several Saunders alumni take this opportunity to return to campus to judge the presentations, sharing their real-world knowledge and advice to the next generation of Saunders students.
Students experience hands-on education through applied learning – which is what sets Saunders College of Business apart from other business schools. Learn more about our undergraduate programs, and our student's experiences while on co-op.
