Providing entrepreneurial students the resources to achieve success
Fourth-year Management Information Systems student Zachary White recognized that his first year business courses gain him the courage to take on fulltime employment the following summer. Thanks to The Freshman Experience: Biz 1+2 program's hands-on business experience, Zachary found the confidence to apply for and receive a competitive internship at Intuit.
Zachary's story is not uncommon at
Saunders College of Business. Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) has established one of the oldest and largest cooperative (co-op) eduaction programs in the country. Students work in full-time, paid positions that directly relate to their chosen field of study, allowing students to translate knowledge learned in the classroom into real-world situations, all the while continually enhancing vital personal skills needed for post-graduation jobs.
With the support of RIT's
Office of Career Services and Cooperative Education, business students are have access to countless resources, including two university-wide Career Fairs that bring more than 250 companies to campus to interview perspective employees.
