RIT Students applying to Saunders College of Business graduate programs may now be qualified to waive the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) or Graduate Record Examination (GRE) test score requirement. This new policy has been put into effect to encourage students that excelled in their undergraduate career to continue their education in business.
Applicants may be eligible if they meet any of the following requirements:
- The applicant is enrolled in (with a minimum of 90 credit hours), or has graduated from an undergraduate program at RIT with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.25 or greater. (Note: MS Computational Finance and MS Business Analytics prefer undergraduate quant programs).
- For the MBA in Accounting; and Master of Science programs in Business Analytics, Entrepreneurship and Innovative Ventures, and Management: applicants with six or more years related work experience.
- The applicant has completed a doctorate, professional, or terminal graduate degree program from an AACSB-accredited or equivalent university and maintained a GPA of 3.25 or greater in that graduate program.
- Executive Education program applicants are not required to submit GMAT scores due to minimum work experience requirements and are not required to submit a GMAT / GRE Waiver.
Applicants interested in requesting a waiver to the GMAT/GRE requirement should submit a letter articulating the basis(-es) upon which the applicant believes the waiver should be granted. Final determination of the GMAT/GRE waiver will be at the discretion of each graduate program director.
Please note that GMAT/GRE waivers will not be awarded automatically.
