Financial aid

Just last year, RIT provided over $24 million in financial support to approximately 2,600 graduate students.

RIT’s financial aid resources help you get on the path towards a top ranked business degree. While a graduate business degree is a significant financial investment, it can also yield high returns with increased salary and lifetime earnings.

At Saunders College of Business at RIT, applicants seeking help with financing have access to a dedicated financial advisor who assists students in understanding available financial aid and scholarship options. Students may also be eligible for Saunders GMAT/GRE waiver options. Beyond Saunders, RIT’s Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships has resources to support financial planning. Financial aid is awarded in the order that graduate applications are received. Applying early will ensure the best possible financial aid options.

In addition to financial aid, Saunders College offers a variety of paid student employment options which include:

  • Graduate student worker: Attend school full time, continue to gain experience, and make money to help fund a graduate degree. Graduate student workers can contribute to research done by faculty, support class preparations, or work with administrative personnel of the college. The application process for these positions occur during graduate orientation.
  • Graduate assistantships: Available to full-time matriculated graduate students to serve as teaching, research, or administrative assistants. Graduate Assistants receive hourly wages and many also receive tuition remission (i.e. tuition support) in addition to wages for assistantship duties.
  • Campus employment: There are a variety of on campus, part-time opportunities for students. These earnings are typically used for day to day expenses including books, travel and living expenses.

Some applicants may even be eligible for the Saunders 4+1 program. For this option, Saunders partners with over 20 undergraduate schools to offer a 1 year MBA with 20% scholarship. This means that students can receive both a bachelors and master’s degree in just 5 years.

RIT has countless resources that can help students fund their graduate degree. For information on the Saunders College graduate application process, please visit the graduate admissions page.
