Austin, TX — November 1, 2021, The Tingari-Silverton Foundation appointed Dr. dt ogilvie to its Board of Directors. Dr. ogilvie, Professor of Urban Entrepreneurship & Economic Development at the Saunders College of Business at the Rochester Institute of Technology, is also the Senior Advisor to Rochester Mayor Lovely A. Warren on loan from RIT. Dr. ogilvie brings with her a wealth of knowledge to the Foundation’s board.

Ryan, Founder and Chair of the Tingari-Silverton Foundation. “We look forward to her voice and input as the Foundation continues its focus on impact and innovation.”

As a Director, Dr. ogilvie will help lead the Foundation’s philanthropic grant-making initiatives while also ensuring that the ethos of positive impact toward the greater good is prioritized along all forms of the Foundation’s capital.

Dr. ogilvie also served as Distinguished Professor of Urban Entrepreneurship and as Dean of Saunders College of Business at Rochester Institute of Technology. At RIT, she founded the Center for Urban Entrepreneurship (CUE), and served as Chair of its Advisory Board. Previously, Dr. ogilvie was Professor of Business Strategy & Urban Entrepreneurship at Rutgers Business School—Newark and New Brunswick where she was the Founder and Executive Director of The Center for Urban Entrepreneurship & Economic Development (CUEED). She founded the ROC City Biz FastTrac program to train aspiring and early-stage entrepreneurs and the ROC City Biz TikTok Bootcamp for Rochester school children. She serves as Vice-Chair of Rochester Economic Development Corporation’s Board, is a board member of the Rochester Jamaica Organization, and was recently appointed as a member of Rochester Market Driven Community Corporation’s Board of Directors. She serves on the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee of the Rochester Rotary. She is an IC2 Global Fellow at The University of Texas at Austin (her alma mater) and a Fellow of Rutgers CUEED. Dr. ogilvie has published in top journals with twelve of her research papers being recognized with research awards.
