FEI Scholarship Given to Benjamin Frenett

On Tuesday Benjamin Frenett, a 3rd year Accounting and Finance dual major in Saunders College of Business at RIT, was awarded a $1,000 scholarship from the Rochester Chapter of Financial Executives International (FEI).

Students nominated for this scholarship show great character and high potential to be a future business leader through academic achievement in coursework and extra-curricular involvement. After being nominated, students must also write a one-page letter justifying their qualification for the award.

FEI pays close attention to detail in their selection. By looking beyond academic achievement, they see demonstrated leadership abilities in extra-curricular activities. According to Saunders College of Business faculty member Philip Gelsomino, Frenett was nominated by Saunders faculty members saying “his diligence, dedication, curiosity, academic achievements and passion for so many extra-curricular activities are what set him apart and made it easy for FEI to recognize Ben’s accomplishments and select him as an award winner.”

After receiving his award, Frenett said “I had an excellent time at the FEI event tonight. I am honored and thankful to have received the nomination for the FEI scholarship by the Saunders faculty”.

Saunders College of Business would like to congratulate Ben Frenett on his major accomplishment!
