Paper on Blockchain Technology Receives Best Paper Award

Dr. Manlu Liu and graduate student Shoufan Qiu received the Best Paper Award for their coauthored paper titled “Diffusion of Innovation in Accounting: How have the Big Four been Adopting Blockchain Technology.”  They presented their findings at the SIGBPS Workshop on Blockchain and Smart Contract in December of 2018.

Students earn Top 100 Designations in GLO-BUS Simulator

Two teams of MBA students in Saunders College of Business’ Competitive Strategy course in earned Top 100 designations for their performances running companies using the GLO-BUS simulator.

Saunders Announces 2018 Graduation Student Delegates

Saunders College of Business has announced their 2017-2018 graduation student delegates. These delegates, recognized for their outstanding performance within the college, will represent Saunders College at the commencement ceremonies May 11-12.

The graduation delegates are Rosalie Phan and Tara Shedlosky, Ph.D.

RIT/NTID honor society inducts 26 new members

Rochester Institute of Technology's National Technical Institute for the Deaf inducted 26 new members into the Delta Xi chapter of the Epsilon Pi Tau honor society at a ceremony on May 1.

Epsilon Pi Tau recognizes the academic excellence of students in fields devoted to the study of technology and the preparation of practitioners for the technology professions. Epsilon Pi Tau also extends the honor of membership to outstanding practitioners in the technology professions, to scholars, and/or to persons who have significantly supported or advanced technology professions.

Developers of emergency mass notification clock win RIT's first STEAM contest

A team of three computer engineering majors has developed a prototype for an emergency mass notification clock, which won the top prize and $5,000 in Rochester Institute of Technology's first STEAM competition.

The contest, sponsored by RIT's Center for Public Safety Initiatives, encouraged teams of students to develop ways public safety problems can be helped with the use of solutions involving science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics.

Fram Advisory Board Honors Saunders Projects

The Fram Advisory Board honored Saunders exhibits, recognizing them for their specialized and applied critical thinking. The two teams awarded are “Commercializing Pumice Roofing Tiles in Nicaragua” and “Molecular Glasses Consulting Project — Feasibility of the Automotive Industry.”

Each year, Saunders College of Business Executive MBA students participate in an eight to ten day international seminar overseas. Each cohort travels to a new destination to explore the international business climate.

Students experience culture and tour various companies - typically businesses who epitomize the business climate or conditions of that specific country.
