Ian Mortimer named RIT vice president for Enrollment Management

Ian Mortimer '04 (MBA), who has 25 years of experience in higher education, has been named vice president of Enrollment Management at Rochester Institute of Technology.

With an enrollment of nearly 19,000 students, RIT is one of the largest private universities in the nation. Students hail from all 50 states and more than 100 countries. A top 100 national research university, RIT also has international locations in China, Croatia, Dubai and Kosovo.

Student inspired by McChord's generosity

RIT student Lindsay Reardon is thrilled about the opportunities that are in store for students anxious to create and manage their own businesses.

An entrepreneur by nature, Reardon is no stranger to self-employment, beginning as a high school student creating posters for weddings, anniversaries and other special events.

RIT's graduate programs offer distinctive, cutting-edge education

As Fatmah Bamashmous painstakingly crafts furniture for her thesis in RIT's woodworking studio, she uses a mixture of traditional hand tools and state-of-the-art power tools. She has a distinct vision for what she is trying to accomplish, and her designs draw inspiration from calligraphy and the Arabic alphabet.

"I want to create modern furniture with distinct Arabic influences, which you don't see hardly anywhere," she said.

RIT ranked among best online programs nationally

Rochester Institute of Technology has been recognized for offering some of the nation's best online programs. The 2018 U.S. News & World Report Best Online Programs rankings, released today, featured RIT on five of its lists, ranking: 36th in the nation for "Best Online MBA Programs," for the executive MBA program offered by Saunders College of Business; 40th for "Best Online Information Technology Programs," offered by the B.
