New Executive in Residence to Join Saunders College of Business

Karen Magnuson will now serve as an executive in residence at Saunders College of Business at Rochester Institute of Technology. Recently retired, Magnuson held the position of executive editor at the Democrat and Chronicle (D&C) for 18 years, overseeing some revolutionary times at the paper including a switch to a digital-first mindset. Magnuson will bring many years of professional experience with her and a commitment to diversity and fostering community engagement.

The Online Executive MBA (EMBA) program at Saunders College of Business is ranked #6 by for 2019 Best MBA Programs. The Online EMBA program, known for it's applied leadership, strategic thinking, global orientation, and innovation, was also recognized for Best Program Structure.

Each year, Saunders College of Business Executive MBA students participate in an eight to ten day international seminar overseas. Each cohort travels to a new destination to explore the international business climate.

Students experience culture and tour various companies - typically businesses who epitomize the business climate or conditions of that specific country.

The Online Executive MBA program in Rochester Institute of Technology's Saunders College of Business ranked second in the category of career outcomes for graduates, and 13th overall, in the list of top online MBA programs by Poets&Quants, a leading resource for coverage of graduate business education.

Alumnus gift completes Saunders College of Business Challenge initiative at RIT

Rochester Institute of Technology has received a $3 million gift to conclude the Saunders College of Business Challenge initiative.

The donor is RIT alumnus Joseph M. Lobozzo II '95 (Executive MBA), founder and former president/CEO of JML Optical Industries Inc. Lobozzo's gift concludes the business school's $20 million Saunders Challenge that started with a challenge gift of $5 million by local entrepreneur/philanthropist E. Philip Saunders.
