Accountants work for every type of organization in the U.S. and abroad. Accountants may pursue their CPA license from any of the 55 U.S. states and territories, or go after one of the prestigious private certifications such as CMA, CFE, CIA or CFP, and others. While the CPA license is not required to work in the field of accounting it is highly recommended for students to pursue it.
