Five Saunders College of Business Professors have received various endowed research professorships. Professors Murthy, Perotti, Tang, Yang, and Zhang were chosen for their displays of exceptional character, leadership, and business acumen.


Raj Murthy, Ph.D. - The McClure Professorship of Marketing

As an active business consultant, Professor Murthy’s research is tied to his experience and teaching interests in the domain of quantitative analytics, research methods, and branding. Raj has been actively engaged in working with faculty and students from across RIT on the commercialization potential of research, including research in imaging science. As McClure Professor for Marketing, Raj has organized distinguished lectures as well as engaged in multiple national and regional media outlets.

 

Victor Perotti, Ph.D. - The Benjamin Forman Professorship for Collaborative Research

Professor Perotti has a demonstrated record of collaborative work with faculty and students across RIT and various industries, including Jewish Senior Life and WellTok. His recent work has been focused on the use of technology to enhance senior living, recently submitting multiple proposals to NSF and the National Academy of Medicine (NAM) in support of these efforts. He has developed strong relationships with RIT’s Sponsored Research Services, Government and Community Relations, Corporate Relations, and Foundation Relations teams through his work. Perotti plans to continue creating cross-college research efforts with RIT faculty through [OR1] business, industry, government, and the public sector.

 

Zhi Tang, Ph.D. - The Benjamin Forman Professorships for Research

Professor Tang is a prolific researcher, most recently in various areas of entrepreneurship. He has published nine journal articles in the past three years, with several appearing in “Top” journals. He has served as Graduate Program Director and led the revision of the STEM-designated MS Technology Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship (TIME) program. He plans to continue publishing with his colleagues, both at RIT and across the world.

 

 

Rong Yang Ph.D. - The Benjamin Forman Professorships for Research

Professor Yang has become a highly regarded researcher in financial accounting and corporate social responsibility, appearing in five “Top” Journal publications in the past three years. Yang is currently serving as a Graduate Program Director for accounting and has led the revision of the STEM-designated MS Accounting & Analytics program. She plans to continue publishing with colleagues at RIT and beyond while remaining actively engaged with top professional accounting organizations.

 

Hao Zhang, Ph.D. - The Madelon and Richard Rosett Professorships for Research

Professor Zhang has been incredibly successful as an empirical researcher in finance and accounting. In just three years he has produced one “Elite” and four “Top” journal publications, with plenty of promising work to come. Zhang has been engaged in working with both undergraduate and graduate students on research. Over the past year, he also helped to lead the development of the Ph.D. in Business Administration. Hao plans to continue collaborating with RIT colleagues while mentoring tenure-track faculty at Saunders.
