Come celebrate World Tourism Day 2020, as shared on the UNWTO calendar of events to celebrate the big day.

The Hospitality and Tourism Management Program at Saunders College of Business invited guest speaker Keith Wolling ’75 (hospitality and tourism management), past president, SKAL International Orlando, to discuss tourism and rural development. More details on Mr. Wolling are found on the virtual event web page, for September 22. The full recording premiers on YouTube on World Tourism Day on September 27 (full address: youtu.be/99B9s2o2RBE).

Students and faculty from Rochester Institute of Technology Global campuses participated in the event which was hosted by three Saunders College hospitality clubs: American Hotel and Lodging Association (AHLA), Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP), and Eta Sigma Delta (ESD) International Honorary Society. Mr. Wolling’s virtual visit helped advance the collective mission of each club to advance students' personal and professional growth by promoting their engagement with industry professionals and organizations. This year’s theme on tourism and rural development includes the roles tourism organizations play at different geographic levels throughout the world.
