The COVID-19 Emergency Fund was established to assist students with unforeseen expenses due to the pandemic. Generous donations from the RIT community have allowed us to provide immediate financial assistance to undergraduate and graduate students, alleviating some of their financial stress during this difficult time.

To date, we have supported over 200 students with urgent needs such as housing and groceries, transportation, medical bills and technology. As online learning was implemented, the university became aware of students in need of laptops and wireless access. Donor funds helped us provide these students with the tools they needed to successfully navigate this new learning environment.

Fund recipients like supply chain management student Taylor Brisbane BS ’20 have expressed their gratitude for the help they have received.

"I could not be more grateful for this grant. In these challenging times, everyone is struggling, and knowing there are people out there who care and are willing to help makes this a lot more bearable."
