RIT's Commencement Weekend hosts numerous events and activities to recognize all graduating students. The university hosts an Academic Convocation to celebrate the graduates from all nine of RIT's colleges, the Center for Multidisciplinary Studies, and the Golisano Institute for Sustainability. Saunders College of Business graduates are also welcomed and encouraged to attend the college ceremony that individually recognizes each student and their success.

Academic Convocation is a university celebration of graduates from all nine RIT colleges, the School of Individualized Study, and the Golisano Institute for Sustainability. The program features remarks by RIT President William W. Destler, graduate and undergraduate student delegate speakers, and the 2016 Commencement Speaker.
Saunders College students will line up outside the Gordon Field House beginning at 11:15 a.m. (look for the dark green balloons) and will walk as a College into the ceremony. It will be during this special gathering of the RIT community that President Destler will officially confer degrees on graduates from throughout RIT's nine colleges.
In addition to the Academic Convocation, Saunders College of Business will host its own commencement ceremony Friday at 3:30 p.m. in the Gene Polisseni Center. During the college commencement ceremony, each graduate will be individually recognized and congratulated by his or her dean and platform party. Students should begin to line up at 2:30 p.m. in Max Lowenthal Hall.
Immediately following the ceremony, please join us at for a reception on the front lawn of Saunders College from 5:00 – 6:30 p.m.. Hors d’oeuvres and refreshments will be served.
