The RIT Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships has many resources for financial aid and other scholarship information for incoming and current students.

Saunders College of Business Merit Awards for 2015-2016

Application Deadline of April 15, 2015

Each year many generous alumni and corporate donors contribute funds to dozens of Saunders College of Business merit awards. These donations enable the Saunders College to distribute merit awards to Saunders College of Business students who have demonstrated strong leadership abilities and who have excelled within their academic programs.

If you are a current Saunders College of Business student and meet the criteria below, you are strongly encouraged to complete an application for a Saunders College of Business merit scholarship award. Awards are typically between $500 and $2,000 and will be distributed during the 2015-2016 financial aid year, which begins in the summer of 2015 and runs through the spring of 2016.

Scholarship Criteria

  • Applicants must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.20 for undergraduates or 3.70 for graduate students.
  • Applicants must have earned a minimum of 12 credit hours from RIT.
  • Awardees must be enrolled in a Saunders College of Business undergraduate or graduate program during the 2015-2016 academic year.
  • PREP students are not eligible for Saunders College merit scholarship awards.
  • Please complete the Merit Scholarship Application, and submit the application and all supporting materials via e-mail only to Lisa Boice, Assistant Dean of Student Services, at by April 15, 2015.

M&T Bank Scholars Program for Community College Transfers

M&T Bank Scholars ProgramThe M&T Bank Scholars Program provides a scholarship for one community-college transfer entering Saunders College of Business as a full-time student.

The key elements of this program are funding in the form of a scholarship and a mentoring program that provides assistance with career decision-making and planning.

To be considered for this outstanding opportunity, a candidate must be a minority student residing in Monroe County with a sincere interest in the financial services industry, who has been accepted as a community-college transfer to Saunders College of Business as a full-time student. Candidates should also have excellent academic records with demonstrated leadership through school or community involvement.

This program is an excellent way for the right student to gain mentoring support as well as an opportunity to earn financial assistance for the bachelor's education.

Apply here for the M&T Bank Scholarship. Applications are due by May 1 for Fall enrollment. Late applicants will be considered if funds are available. Please contact Melissa Russell to check on funding availabilty.

New York State Transfer & Articulation Association (NYSTAA) Scholarship

NYSTAA ScholarshipTransfer students who have completed an Associates degree from a two-year school who is a member of NYSTAA may qualify. Students also need a GPA of 3.0 or above, and plan to attend a four-year school who is a member of NYSTAA. RIT's Saunders College of Business is a member of NYSTAA. Check the NYSTAA Web site for more information. Applications are typically due prior to March 1.
