Saunders College of Business at RIT offers several Master of Science (MS) programs. Different from our MBA programs that provide a broad base of business disciplines, our MS programs are designed to deliver curriculum that is focused on a specific discipline. MS degrees are typically better suited for students that focus on a specific area of business, looking to advance in their career, or for making a targeted career change. Programs include:
Accounting - Designed to prepare students to sit for the New York State CPA exam.
Computational Finance - For careers in computational or quantitative finance, or financial engineering.
Entrepreneurship and Innovative Ventures - Focus on bringing ideas from conception to market.
Finance - Designed to prepare students to sit for the Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) exam.
Management – Designed specifically for students without business experience or education. Program Tracks offered: Global Management and Supply Chain Management, Product and Service Development, Leadership, and a Flexible Track. (Flexible Track is pending New York State approval for Fall 2017.)

Many of the Master of Science programs are designed to be completed in two semesters, with a fall semester start. With some required courses only offered once a year, additional completion time may be required for full-time students entering in the spring or summer semesters. Most MS programs are also available on a part-time basis for practicing professionals. If you pursue part-time options, you may complete your degree in as little as 2.5 years.
Through the use of Program Tracks and elective courses, our MS programs allow you to customize your degree by giving you access to courses available across all nine colleges at RIT. Choose from a wide selection of options that meet your specific career goals and allow you to stand out and excel in a crowded and competitive job market.
Students interested in such options are encouraged to explore these with an academic advisor.
