Our MBA Core Courses feature a Technology Core that aligns with the values of RIT and the skills that employers demand. Core technology courses include data analytics and business intelligence, management information systems, and innovation in products and services. Core courses are further distinguished by the social responsibility and ethics course while delivering foundational knowledge across all areas of business.
Saunders MBA Concentrations allow you to customize your degree so you can build your own brand and stand out in a competitive business world. Some of our key MBA concentrations, built upon our university and faculty strengths, provide coverage of product commercialization, digital marketing, entrepreneurship, and management information systems as well as traditional areas of business. We also have concentrations that span across engineering, science and the liberal arts, including quality management, health systems administration, and public policy. With access to all graduate courses across all RIT Colleges, there is also the opportunity to customize a concentration, based on specific career goals (program approval and prerequisites apply).

The MBA program requires 48 semester credit hours and consists of 16 courses, 11 of which are devoted to core functional areas, and 5 for concentration areas and electives. There are three major components to the MBA curriculum:
Free electives may be selected from Saunders College graduate courses and may be used within your area of concentration for greater depth, or in another area. Electives may also be used to pursue double concentrations which often take special planning with a graduate advisor. Electives used for RIT courses outside of Saunders College may be used with pre-approval from the MBA Director.
