The McClure Lecture Series is made possible thanks to an endowment from J. Warren McClure, who became the first president of marketing at Gannett Co. Active in the RIT community, McClure estalished the McClure Professorship in Marketing which includes lectures by marketing experts in the field.
Dwight Gould was the founder and CEO of Aviatech LLC. His vision for the company came from many years of franchise marketing experience as a senior executive for national brands. As am RIT alum, he was welcomed back to campus to share his insights on integrated marketing. The full presentation is available for viewing online.
J. Warren McClure was a World War II Navy veteran and former publisher and owner of the Burlington Free Press. He sold the newspaper to Gannett Co., where he later became the first president of marketing. McClure, who turned to philanthropy in retirement, and his wife, Lois, were important members of the RIT community. McClure served on the RIT board of trustees from 1973 until 1986, and was an advisor to the Saunders College of Business.
