Minors
RIT undergraduate students may select a business minor as part of their educational plan. There are seven minor areas from which a student can choose and each can be completed in just five courses. Each minor has elective flexibility so that you may individualize the minor to your interests and needs.

Who is Eligible?
- Undergraduate students in any of the eight RIT colleges.
- Undergraduate business students who have enough free and/or elective credit hours to complete the minor in a field different from their major.
General Policies and Requirements:
- Only undergraduate matriculated (formally admitted) students may enroll in the minor.
- Each minor consists of five courses.
- Each minor must be at least 20-quarter credit hours in length.
- At least 12 credit hours must consist of courses not required by the student's home program.
- For all minors, at least 12 credit hours must be completed in residence at RIT (RIT on-line courses are considered to be in residence).
- Students requesting the minor need to have a Minor Authorization Form signed by the faculty adviser for the specific minor. These forms are available in the COB Student Services Office, the minor faculty adviser's office or the Registrar's Office. Students should submit completed forms to their home department for processing.
- Posting of the minor on a student's transcript requires a minimum grade point average of 2.0 in the minor courses.
- A minor may not be added after graduation.
