The Technology Commercialization Clinic (TCC) is a class offered periodically throughout the academic year that brings together selected MBA and Undergraduate students to work on client projects. This class receives funding from the Empire State Development Corporation. Therefore, projects conducted by the TCC must involve the commercialization of technologies that have the potential to create jobs in New York State.
During the class the students generally conduct a commercialization analysis covering such items as potential markets, competitive analysis, commercialization options, etc. Past clients have run the gamut from large, multi-national corporations through single person startups.
At the completion of the class, the students present their findings and recommendations to the client and leave behind a written report covering the project from inception through conclusion.
